The aluminum 2014 circle are basically made with aluminum with the addition of significant copper, which increases strength and rigidity. Typical alloys contain 4.4-5.0% copper, 0.5-1.2% manganese, 1.2-1.8% copper, and small amounts of silicon, iron, and other elements. This alloy offers good mechanical properties, such as 430-500 MPa tensile strength, 350-450 MPa yield strength, 3-10% elongation and high copper content for good machinability and wear resistance, making it ideal for strength a high applications such as aerospace and military corrosion resistant components.
