Composed primarily of aluminium, with silicon (0.4-0.8%), iron (0.7% max), magnesium (1.0-1.5%), and small amounts of copper, chromium, and zinc, it is ideal for a range of applications. Mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 290 MPa, yield strength of 240 MPa, and elongation of 12-17%.
