Aluminium pipes typically comprise high-purity alloys such as 6061, 6063, and 2024. These alloys generally contain 92-99% aluminium, with alloying elements like magnesium (up to 1.5%), silicon (up to 0.6%), copper (up to 4%), and other trace elements. The mechanical properties of aluminium pipes vary depending on the alloy. For instance, 6061 alloy exhibits good mechanical properties with a tensile strength of approximately 240 MPa and yield strength of 205 MPa, while 2024 alloy contains copper and offers higher strength, reaching up to 470 MPa tensile strength. These alloys provide good corrosion resistance, weldability, and lightweight characteristics.
