This combination gives 6061 its excellent strength, corrosion resistance, and weldability. The alloy’s mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 310 MPa, yield strength of 276 MPa, and an elongation of 12-17%. Its hardness ranges from 60-90 HB, depending on temper. The high strength-to-weight ratio and excellent formability make Aluminium 6061 fittings ideal for structural and industrial applications.
