Aluminium 1060 forgings are composed primarily of 99.6% pure aluminium, making them highly corrosion-resistant and lightweight. This alloy contains trace amounts of copper, iron, and silicon, enhancing its strength and performance. The mechanical properties of Aluminium 1060 forgings include excellent formability, high electrical and thermal conductivity, and good tensile strength. Typically, it offers a tensile strength of 55–75 MPa and elongation of 30-40%. Due to its low strength compared to other alloys, it is best suited for applications requiring high conductivity and resistance to oxidation, such as electrical and chemical industries.
