Aluminium 5005 Coils are composed primarily of aluminium (95.8–98.8%), with magnesium (0.5–1.1%) as the main alloying element, along with traces of manganese (≤0.20%), iron (≤0.7%), silicon (≤0.30%), copper (≤0.20%), zinc (≤0.25%), and chromium (≤0.10%). This composition enhances its strength and corrosion resistance. Aluminium 5005 has a tensile strength of 110–145 MPa and yield strength of 90 MPa in the annealed state (O temper), with good elongation (min. 15–20%). It offers excellent weldability, moderate strength, and high resistance to atmospheric and marine corrosion.
