Aluminium 5086 Flat Bars are mainly composed of aluminum (95.4–97.8%), magnesium (3.5–4.5%), manganese (0.2–0.7%), iron (maximum 0.5%), silicon ( maximum 0.4%), and small amounts composed of chromium (0.05–0.25%) and zinc (in excess 0.25%) is available. . . . . This coating provides excellent corrosion resistance and great durability, especially in marine environments. It has a tensile strength of 290–380 MPa, a yield strength of 145–265 MPa, and an elongation of 12–20% depending on the temper. Aluminum 5086 is known for excellent weldability, mechanical flexibility and excellent hardness, making it ideal for structural applications requiring resistance to shipbuilding, pressure vessels and salt water .
