Aluminium UNS A95086 hexagonal bars are composed primarily of aluminium (approx. 95-98%), with magnesium (4-5%), and small amounts of manganese (0.25%), chromium (0.1%), and iron (0.7%). This alloy offers excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in marine environments, due to its magnesium content. The mechanical properties include a tensile strength of approximately 260-310 MPa and yield strength around 170-240 MPa. The alloy also exhibits good ductility and high impact strength, making it suitable for demanding applications such as shipbuilding, automotive, and pressure vessel construction.
